Activision and Treyarch

Gamers at Fremont High School are ecstatic, including myself, thanks to the new Call of Duty Black Ops 2.
I pre-ordered the game Sept. 19 and picked it up Nov. 13. I had to wait in line at Game Stop at the Fruitvale Station for about an hour and a half just for the pick up.
People were waiting desperately to get their hands on the game. The majority of those standing in line seemed to be minors accompanied by their parents.
The long wait was definitely worth it.
Activision and Treyarch, two of the biggest game production companies in the world, joined together once more to create the second version of Black Ops.
Black Ops 2 sold in record-breaking numbers. In its 24 hours of sales, it brought in $500 million. That compares to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, which made $400 million, and Halo 4, which sold $220 million, according to forbes.com. In contrast, Assassin Creed 3 sold $3.5 million in its first day.
While most people paid about $60 for their copy of the Black Ops 2, I spent an extra $20 so that I could get the “harden edition.”
The difference between the two versions is that the harden edition has two tokens that give you exclusive game content, including extra maps.
I like the single player campaign a lot, because it’s based on the future when there are machines that you can operate or let operate on their own. This game is not based on the past like other Call of Duty games.
The single player campaign is basically a story line with missions. For example, the last mission is to catch the enemy, Raul Menendez, when he destroys and hacks the headquarters. I passed that mission, and I really like the ending.
The “zombies mode” on Black Ops 2 is amazing. I like the way the game designers set up the mode on a bus. It’s great the way it goes from one town to another town and you have to find objects to build something that will help you to survive more rounds.
The multi-player mode also is pretty awesome. I liked the new attachments. The Millimeter Scanner and Select Fire Rate are among the new attachments that may help people play better.
Compared to last year’s game, the guns this year are more high tech. A real plus.
