School security force gets temporary replacement

Due to a recent surgery, one of Fremont Federation’s security staff memberswill be out.
Jose Rodriguez, a member of Fremont’s security staff, will not be working until January due to a shoulder surgery, according to his replacement.
Until then, Fremont will have a new security guard, Luis Silva, subbing for Rodriguez.
Silva has been a school security guard for two years. He worked at McClymonds last year.
When asked how he felt about working at Fremont, Silva said “I feel good. I was surprised to see that this school is actually not that bad.”
Silva told the Green & Gold that he would stay at Fremont until January, and may request permanence if he builds relationships with the students.
