Obama rattles Fremont

Fremont Federation of High Schools shook as a helicopter carrying President Barack Obama flew overhead at 8:57 a.m.

At least that is what students, teachers and security officers thought was happening.

Students and teachers bolted out of portables to look overheard at the helicopter. The sky was gray, making it hard to see the helicopter. But the noise and the vibrations from the aircraft was heavier than other helicopters that fly over campus from time to time.

Obama was scheduled to go from San Francisco to Fremont this morning.

“It’s fascinating to know he just flew over us,” said sophomore Alma Ramirez. “He should have stopped by Media Academy.”

Jameela Rougeau, another sophomore, agreed.

“He should have said, ‘whassup? she said.

Obama was in San Francisco to raise money for Sen. Barbara Boxer, who is running for re-election. Today he is going to a solar plant in Fremont.
