Health Education Programs Open to Fremont Students

La Clinica Peer Health Education is offering two new programs for students.

The first program is called “Tobacco Prevention Program.” The program is designed for students to offer information on harms and effects of tobacco and marijuana to the community as well as other health topics. They meet every Thursday and Friday after school WHERE!!!

The second program is “SAMHSA Program.” They offer information on HIV, substance use/abuse, prevention messages, and promote HIV testing to the community. This program runs every Monday and Wednesday after school.

Participants attend weekly meetings, schedule and conduct two presentations at their school with the assistance of an adult health educator, participate in community events and develop a community action project.
