Fremont High gets new YouTube channel

Students in the Media Academy have started a YouTube channel to broadcast stories done by students in the video production classes.

On this channel, you can see highlights from Fremont High School games and follow some of the stories from the Green & Gold newspaper.

The first two video stories posted were about basketball and football.

Students in the Media Academy are excited to display their work for the world to see.

“It feels good to have my work on YouTube for people to see,” said K’van Murdock, Media Academy sophomore.

Murdock plans on posting sports reviews to the page regularly.

Murdock’s teacher, Jasmene Miranda, is optimistic about the effects the channel will have.

“I hope the channel will encourage the students to be more interested in journalism and video production,” she said. “Also (I hope for it) to attract people to the Media Academy.”
